Reviews
We know VDL so well, having been an owner for over 30 years, but now we rent villas and we had a great time, location was perfect and the family loved it. They want to rebook for 2023 However, I would like to give constructive feedback though as we did have some things that do need addressing which are listed below. Please note, apart from calling the office regarding a power cut (it was due to 2 machines running at the same time) we did not trouble them. But the information below could be reviewed for future guests? = Key collection, as advised =Pleased with interior living space, however the photographs need updating on the website =Beach towels were a bonus thank you, we didn’t realise they were there, did not see it mentioned on the website =The large patio door in the living room has a problem with the locking mechanism and needs to be looked at. We could only lock it by pushing it from outside =The kitchen needs a review - some of the instruction books in dining room drawer were old (it had paperwork relating to First Choice holidays) and not relevant =the sink waste needs replacing =could not read the dials on the oven =the washing machine needs to be checked out as it does not complete a wash cycle =the Dishwasher required salt and rinse aid =One of the saucepans was dangerous, with two very loose handles =Very disappointed with the crockery, 3 mugs with inappropriate messages and a mismatch of cups, plates and a cracked bowl. A measuring jug would be good to have too =Fridge-freezer installed is too deep, so kitchen door cannot be closed =Electrical issues in the hallway, neither lights worked =Big leak in downstairs bathroom, we had to keep a bowl under the sink to collect the water =Bathroom door upstairs needs the hinges adjusted so that it opens and closes freely = A mirror is required in the upstairs bedroom = All the outdoor furniture and lounger cushions were very dirty, and covered in tree sap and at least 4 of the white chairs were broken and unsafe. They should be disposed of. = The paths and patio are have lots of raised or missing stones, which make it dangerous - I have photographs if you wish to see them = The washing airier is rusty and marks the clothes put out to dry =An amenity pack on arrival would be handy, just washing up liquid etc to get guests started for when they arrive, PLUS a small bar of hand soap in the bathrooms, particularly in light of being covid safe with hand washing OVERALL, WE WOULD DEFINITELY STAY AGAIN, SO HOPE THIS REVIEW IS ACCEPTED AS HONEST FEEDBACK THAT CAN BE USEFUL IN MAKING THE NEXT GUESTS STAY EVEN BETTER The Hume family We know VDL so well, having been an owner for over 30 years, but now we rent villas and we had a great time, location was perfect and the family loved it.
